Designing a home is a once-in-a lifetime, emotion-filled experience. Rarely do you have the opportunity to choose how your home will look and feel, top to bottom, from the very beginning. That’s why we place so much emphasis on the design process. It’s important to us that you love every aspect of your new home, so we give you total control. From cabinets and countertops to light fixtures and flooring, you can personalize nearly every aspect of your home to make it uniquely yours.
Our 5-Step Selections Process makes it easy. Whether you are local to Boise or moving from out of town, we’ve made the design process easy, effective, and most importantly – fun!
It all revolves around our expert design consultants and the Design Studio. When you purchase a Tresidio home, there’s no need to visit multiple showrooms, stores, or galleries – or even to search online for the finishes you love. We’ve brought all the available choices to you in one place where they’re easy to view, compare, and choose. And with the help of our design consultants, all your choices will be on trend, within budget, and look beautiful together in your home.
Let’s look at how your new home comes to life through design:
Step 1: Finalize & Sign Contract
Once you sign your agreement to build your new home with Tresidio, the fun really begins! You’ll work with our design studio manager in the Design Studio to select the finishes for your home.
Step 2: Design Studio Preview
The design studio preview is usually held 1-2 weeks after the contract is signed and lasts about an hour and a half. During this meeting we’ll introduce you to the Design Studio and the selections process. You’ll be amazed at the variety of choices available to personalize your home. You can truly design a home unlike any other.
Step 3: Design Appointment 1 & 2
Now is when we focus in and make the dream a reality! Your selections will be made in two, 3-hour design appointments with our design studio manager. That’s the time we’ve identified as appropriate to make all the necessary selections without feeling rushed. We want you to love every single finish you choose, so we give you the time you need to feel confident and comfortable with your choices. The deadline for finalizing your selections will be two weeks before we plan to break ground.
Step 4: Pre-Construction Meeting
We keep you involved every step of the way. Between finalizing your selections and breaking ground, we’ll meet for a pre-construction meeting. This is when you’ll meet your project manager, discuss construction process expectations, get all your questions answered, and visit your home site!
For our out-of-town customers, we ask that you plan to travel to Boise and spend two full days with us in the Design Studio. During this time we’ll complete your design studio preview, both design appointments, and the pre-construction meeting. Your trip should be scheduled 3-4 weeks before we break ground.
Step 5: Dig Date
The big day has arrived – your home will break ground on the Dig Date!
The New Home Construction Process
Now it’s time to see all your plans and ideas come to life! From your Dig Date, your new home can take between 6 and 9 months to complete, depending on a number of factors, including its size and complexity. Through our proven building process, we stay on schedule and organized, and communicate with you every step of the way. You’ll know exactly what phase your home is in, and what’s next – there are no surprises.
